Therapy in Goshen, NY

Goshen, Chester, Montgomery and the farm towns around them are 20 to 30 minutes from our Newburgh office, and Warwick is about 40. Some people make the drive each week. Others would rather meet by telehealth, which works from anywhere in New York State.

Getting to the office

From Goshen, Google Maps offers two routes of about the same length: Route 207 through Campbell Hall, or I‑84 east. Either one takes about 27 minutes. Campbell Hall itself is about 20 minutes along 207, and Montgomery is about 20 along Route 17K, which runs almost to the office.

From Chester, Route 94 and then Route 207 take about 30 minutes. Warwick is the longest drive on this page, about 42 minutes by the Thruway, which has a toll, or a few minutes more by back roads.

Where telehealth saves the drive

Out here, the drive is usually what gets in the way. A 50 minute session plus an hour in the car, round trip, is most of a morning. For a parent, or someone working shifts, that can decide whether therapy happens at all.

With telehealth you keep the session and skip the drive. Some people like to come in for the first meeting and then decide. Tell us what you'd prefer and we'll suggest someone who works that way.

Winter matters too. The back roads between Warwick, Chester and Goshen can be slow in snow, and a session you skip because of the weather is a week lost. Telehealth that week keeps things going.

Insurance and cost

We take these plans. If you'd rather pay for yourself, individual sessions are $100 and couples sessions are $115.

Questions people ask

How far is the office from Goshen?

About 27 minutes by Route 207 or I‑84, going by Google Maps on a weekday late morning.

What happens if it snows on my session day?

Ask your therapist whether you can meet by telehealth that week instead of cancelling. Out here, that can be the difference between keeping a session and losing it.

How does a telehealth session work?

You get a secure video link and open it in a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so there's nothing to install. You can meet from anywhere in New York State where you can talk privately.

Can I switch between the office and telehealth?

Ask about it when you reach out. It depends on the therapist, and we'll tell you honestly who can do what.

Is there an office in Goshen or Warwick?

No. Our only office is in Newburgh, about half an hour from Goshen. Telehealth works anywhere in New York State, including the farms and hills out toward Warwick.
