“I want to take better care of myself, but I don't know where to start.”
Holistic health and wellness coaching
Health coaching helps you build habits around food, sleep, stress and movement, one small change at a time. It's different from therapy: it focuses on your daily routines, and you choose the goals. Two of our clinicians are certified health coaches.
What it can feel like
- Dinner is whatever's fastest, most nights.
- You hit a wall every afternoon.
- You've started over on a Monday more times than you can count.
- You want to move more, but a gym feels like too much.
- Your sleep is off, and it's spilling into everything else.
How therapy can help
Coaching usually starts with a conversation about your days: how you sleep, eat, move and handle stress, and what you'd like to feel different. Then you pick one or two small changes to try, like a set bedtime or a walk after dinner, and check in on how they went.
Coaching doesn't diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Our two health coaches are also clinicians, so they can tell you if something like low mood or a hard relationship with food might call for therapy instead. Some people do both.
Coaching isn't therapy, and some people do both. Ask us how it would work for you.

Questions people ask
How is coaching different from therapy?
Therapy looks at your mental health, like your feelings and relationships. Coaching looks at daily habits like food, sleep and movement, and helps you make changes you can keep. Some people do one, and some do both.
Do I have to change everything at once?
No. Coaching usually starts with one small change you choose yourself. Small changes are easier to keep, and you can build from there.
What if food or my body takes up a lot of my thoughts?
Then therapy may be a better place to start than coaching. You can read about therapy for eating and body image, or ask us when you reach out.
The first step is a phone call or a short form.
You don't need the right words. We'll take it from there, and you can switch therapists any time it doesn't fit.
