About Rising Lotus
Rising Lotus Wellness is a group practice in Newburgh, New York. Abby Venzor-Ramos, a clinical social worker and holistic health coach, started it. Today it is a team of therapists across the Hudson Valley.
“We all deserve to be happy and whole.”
How we work
We work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral struggles, from anxiety and depression to children with ADHD, life transitions and family conflict. Care is shaped around the person in front of us rather than a set program.
The team brings training in DBT, CBT, mindfulness and holistic health coaching, and each therapist has their own mix. Several of us bring the body into the work too, through somatic approaches and movement.
What you can count on
Affirming care. We welcome LGBTQIA+ clients and say so plainly, because nobody should have to guess. Several of us name affirming care in our bios.
Culture and language. We pay attention to culture, faith and family, and two of us offer sessions in Spanish.
Your pace. Our approach is trauma-informed. You decide what to share and when, and you can change therapists without explaining yourself.
Every age. We see adults, teenagers, children, couples and whole families.

Founder
Abby is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a special interest in holistic, mindfulness-based psychotherapy that becomes a tool for healing, self-discovery, and transformation. I work with children, adults, families, and couples. I am warm, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed in my approach. In addition to my training as a clinical social worker, and postgraduate training in cognitive behavioral therapy, I am also a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I became certified as a Health and Wellness Coach. Professionally I blend both clinical social work and wellness/life coaching with clients to create lasting lifestyle changes and improve their health and happiness.
I provide therapy and holistic health coaching to individuals, couples, and groups, regardless of age, life stage, or gender. We all deserve to be happy and whole!
