Getting to the office
From the Town of Poughkeepsie, Google Maps gives two routes a minute apart. One crosses the Mid-Hudson Bridge and comes south on 9W, about 34 minutes. The other takes Route 9 and 9D south to I‑84 and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, about 35. Either way, allow extra time at rush hour, when both bridges back up.
From LaGrangeville and Pleasant Valley, the Taconic to I‑84 takes about 31 and 39 minutes. Millbrook is about 44 minutes the same way. From Rhinebeck and Red Hook it's closer to an hour, across the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge and down the Thruway.
